Puerto del Rosario ha vuelto a ser reconocida como Ciudad Amiga de la Infancia de Unicef. El pasado 27 de noviembre, la Secretaría Permanente de la Iniciativa Ciudades Amigas de la Infancia, conformada por representantes del Ministerio de Juventud e Infancia, la Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias (FEMP), el Instituto Universitario de Necesidades y Derechos de la Infancia y la Adolescencia (IUNDIA) y UNICEF España, acordó renovar el Reconocimiento al Ayuntamiento de Puerto del Rosario como Ciudad Amiga de la Infancia en el marco de la Convocatoria de Reconocimientos 2023.
El Alcalde del municipio, David de Vera, ha asistido al acto celebrado en el Parlamento de Canarias, con la voluntad y el compromiso de velar por la promoción y el trabajo en pro de los derechos y deberes de la infancia y la adolescencia durante los próximos años.
Para garantizar esto, el Ayuntamiento capitalino aprobó el “II PLAN MUNICIPAL DE LA INFANCIA Y ADOLESCENCIA DE PUERTO DEL ROSARIO 2023-2027”, con el que se persiguen cuatro objetivos principales:
– Derecho de la población infantil y adolescente a ser valorada, respetada y tratada justamente (D1)
– Derecho de la población infantil y adolescente a ser escuchada (D2)
– Derecho de la población infantil y adolescente a recibir servicios esenciales (D3)
– Derecho de la población infantil y adolescente a ser niño/a (D4).
