El ayuntamiento y el club deportivo Fuertebuceo, establecido en el municipio de Antigua, colaboran en las continuas actuaciones de limpieza de los fondos marinos que desarrolla el club.
FuerteBuceo no sólo participa en citas puntuales de búsqueda y recogida de residuos, sino que ha incorporado la limpieza de los fondos en las inmersiones que socios y voluntarios del club realizan semanalmente.
A diario se retiran bolsas de plástico, latas, cordeles, alambres, y otros residuos que quedan en el fondo del mar perjudicando a las muchas especies que habitan el medio.
